And Christie has today instructed the Attorney General to withdraw his appeal in the Supreme Court. Now we need the little weasels in Trenton to override his veto of the Marriage Equality and Religious Exemption Act.

Don't be shy, Paul, tell us what you think.... seriously, do you think that now marriages are a fact, that they will actually be brave enough to over-ride?

The phrase was Moran's not mine. The problem is that the court has said that unmarried same-sex couples must be permitted to marry in New Jersey, but all related questions are unanswered. For example, news reports about the first post-midnight weddings identified one couple as having previously been married in New York State. Did they really have to get remarried in New Jersey? The state needs a legislative framework to deal with issues like this, and we don't have one.

Christie's futile attempts to impose his religious views on everyone else in the state, together with his bullying of the legislature and anyone else that stands in the way of his political ambitions, has broken the system.

The political news reports on an override prediction are inconclusive.
